The lives of the Saints of the Church of Christ have always comprised and continue to comprise one of the most basic and most pleasant means for the transmission of the Orthodox Faith's teaching. By studying the Lives of the Saints, the faithful—as well as the not so faithful—often become spiritually changed and choose to live a life closer to Christ. This happens mainly because the “Synaxaria” (Lives of Saints) are not just theoretical teachings, but they enact those teachings, providing proper and genuine examples which people of every age can imitate.
